Termidor, by BASF
A non-repellent termiticide that is applied as a treatment zone around your structure and under the crawl space if so constructed. Termidor is mixed with or injected into the soil in order to provide a long lasting continuous zone of treated soil. Some drilling through concrete slabs may be required.

The Sentricon *Termite Colony Elimination System by Dow AgroSciences, LLC
A technologically advanced system whereby monitoring stations are placed in the soil and placed approximately 10 feet apart around the entire perimeter of the structure to be protected. The stations are monitored on a regular basis for signs of termite activity. Once termite activity is detected a bait tube device containing NOVIFLUMURON also known as Recruit IV, is inserted into the monitoring station. Once baited the stations are checked more frequently until all of the termites are eliminated. Once elimination has occurred, each station is returned to the monitoring phase, and the process continues as before.

Once the land is cleared and the foundation formed a liquid termiticide, Termidor by BASF is applied to all areas to be covered by concrete.

An exclusive treatment offered only by Hilton Head Exterminators, Inc. called ASTRO-SHIELD can be performed. ASTRO-SHIELD is a combination of liquid soil treatments using Termidor by BASF, a Borate treatment of all wooden members used in construction framing and finally installation of the Sentricon *Termite Colony Elimination System by Dow AgroSciences, once final landscaping is completed.

Fumigation
A process requiring the entire structure to be covered by Nylon impregnated tarps and a structural fumigant VIKANE by Dow AgroSciences is released into the structure. This process may be required in cases involving Old House Borers, some re-infesting types of wood destroying beetles, and some species of termites.

Ventilation and Moisture Barriers
In houses where crawl space ventilation is inadequate, thermostatically controlled or power ventilators may be installed to improve airflow. Moisture barriers consisting of 6 mil plastic may be placed on the ground in crawl spaces that tend to be damp to reduce moisture conditions on the sub-floor.
